DAY 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

(Overnight in Kantipur Temple House)

  • Meet & Greet assistance at the airport & transfer to your hotel
  • Welcome drink at hotel and check-in
  • After relaxing for a while walk to Hanuman Dhoka from hotel (Thamel) (can use Google Maps for the walk – roughly 20 mins)
  • Dinner @ Bhojan Griha (experience Nepali cuisine and a cultural evening)
  • Overnight at Kathmandu

DAY 2

Kathmandu

Today, if it is a Saturday, you will experience the famous Farmer’s Market that is a weekly feature in Kathmandu at the Le Sherpa in Lazimpat. Home-grown, local, organic produce will be available to buy and savour. From local cheese, mushrooms, pickles, sauces, vegetables, varieties of rice, bread, bakery, salads, olives, oils and abundant varieties of eatables are on display and sale in the open market with great hygiene. On any other day, you will have an early breakfast at the hotel and proceed to sightseeing for the day.

You will also visit the UNESCO Heritage site of the Pashupatinath Temple and the famous Swayambhunath Temple on your way to Chandragiri Hills for a cable car ride and experience the rich mountains on the outskirts of Kathmandu.

    • If Saturday, Skip breakfast at hotel and drive to the Farmer’s Market at Le Sherpa, Lazimpat, followed by brunch at Le Sherpa or Everfresh Restaurant in the same complex ELSE breakfast at hotel
    • Proceed for guided tour of Pashupatinath Temple and Swayambhunath aka Monkey Temple
    • Leave for Chandragiri Hills cable car and enjoy the cable car ride and Chandragiri resort. Lunch at Chandagiri hills resort
    • Dinner @Thamel in New Orleans Café, Thamel
    • Overnight in Kathmandu

DAY 3

A day to remember in Kathmandu

Today your day will start rather early but it will be a day to remember for a long time. You will see the tallest peak in the world, Mt. Everest and other Himalayan ranges up close and experience the thrill of a lifetime. Thereafter, you will have a sumptuous English breakfast at the Café Soma and drive to Dhulikhel for adventure activities.

On your return to Kathmandu, you will visit the Boudhanath Stupa for a guided tour and enjoy the evening immersed in Buddhist culture. You will see the sunset from a rooftop café in Boudha under a star-studded sky.
Early morning Everest flight (6-7 am)

  • English Breakfast @Cafe Soma Baluwatar or Lalitpur.
  • Drive to Dhulikhel for adventure sports (optional zip lining)
  • The drive to Boudhanath temple with guided tour
  • Sunset and dinner at Roadhouse café Boudhanath Stupa (many rooftop cafes around stupa – Roadhouse café terrace)
  • Overnight at Kathmandu

DAY 4

Kathmandu to Chitwan

(Overnight in Kantipur Temple House)

You will reach Chitwan National Park today, A UNESCO World Heritage site that is a must-visit attraction when you visit Nepal. You will experience Tharu culture and tradition, experience village lifestyle and see some rare species pf wild animals. 

  • Breakfast @hotel -Aim to leave by 9 am if road trip to Chitwan OR as per flight time to Chitwan
  • Arrive in the morning, go to hotel, Welcome drink at hotel, freshen up and proceed for sightseeing in Chitwan
  • Village Walk/Ox Cart ride (for up to 6 persons) in the Tharu village in Sauraha followed by village cultural program
  • Hop into a wooden canoe for a tour of the Rapti River, where the Gharial crocodiles sunbathe on the shores & swim in the Rapti river with elephants and witness sunset view on the Rapti river
  • Dinner at Hotel
  • Overnight in Chitwan  

DAY 5

Jungle Safari in Chitwan then drive to Lumbini

(Overnight in Kantipur Temple House)

In the first half of the day, you will take a jungle safari in the Chitwan National Park and see other sightseeing attractions in the park. The park offers jungle activities such as elephant rides, jeep safaris, canoeing and seeing rare species of animals like the one-horned rhino, ‘gharial’ crocodile, wild buffaloes and many other animals are bound to thrill you. You will also see the Bishazari Taal today that is a protected region and listed wetland area in the park that is excellent for bird-watching. It is home to birds that migrate south from Siberia.

In the second half of the day, you will drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha approx. 90 kms from Chitwan.
Breakfast @ hotel and checkout by 9 am

  • Leave for adventure activities at Chitwan National Park elephant/jeep safari, elephant and crocodile breeding centers, sightseeing at Lamo Jharna, Bishazari Taal
  • Late Lunch – packed lunch from hotel and leave for Lumbini
  • See Maya Devi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Maya Devi Pond, Ashoka Pillar, World Peace Pagoda, Lumbini Museum, Royal Thai Buddhist monastery, Sri Lankan Monastery, Cambodian Monastery, Myanmar Golden Monastery
  • Dinner at hotel, overnight in Lumbini

DAY 6

Lumbini -Kathmandu- Bhaktapur-Nagarkot

(Overnight in Club Himalaya, Nagarkot)

  • Breakfast @hotel -Aim to leave by 9 am if road trip to Kathmandu OR as per flight time to Kathmandu
  • Drive to Nagarkot enroute visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square (40 mins drive, spend 30-60 mins in Bhaktapur) – Walk around the Durbar Square, take pictures and buy handicrafts/souvenirs; also known for ‘Juju Dhau’ (sweet curd)
  • Continue to Nagarkot Hill –Club Himalaya Hotel (30 mins from Bhaktapur) view sunset/mountain panorama from the hotel
  • Dinner at hotel
  • Overnight at Nagarkot

DAY 7

Departure from Kathmandu

  • Breakfast @hotel, checkout, leave for Tribhuvan International Airport (45 mins to an hour drive to) OR as per return flight time from Kathmandu
  • Can visit Hotel Dwarika’s for a coffee (optional) enrooted Tribhuvan International Airport

Guidelines

Temperature day time is 5 degrees to 10 degrees. Temperature night time if -12 degrees outside, inside igloo will be -2 max. So please be prepared for the  winter adventure. 

  • WHAT TO BRING
  1. Warm woollen cap
  2. Sun hat/cap
  3. Thermal for wearing inside your ski clothing.
  4. 1 pair of waterproof gloves.
  5. 3 pairs of thick cotton or woollen socks
  6. Sweater/ fleece upper
  7. Sun glasses (MUST) & suns cream
  8. Personal medicine if any.
  9. Water bottle.
  • No Room heaters & Electric kettles are provided at igloos.

  • There will be sharing toilets at the igloo sites.

Please Note: All activities are subject to weather conditions. We would advise you to come prepared for any unforeseen situation and keep a buffer of at least 2 days.    

Important Points

  • Kindly respect value of time – days are short in winter time so we will move to Igloo Site by 11 AM every day from Base Camp (Hotel Keylinga Inn at Naggar Road, Prini) and return back at same time from Igloo Camp. Those who want to travel at their own convenience will have to pay extra for the cab services.
  • Before departure from the Base Point, make sure to carry all your essential items like medicines, clothing, toiletry etc.

Payment & Cancellation

Booking Amount

  • 50% of the Package cost at the time of booking or if booking made within one month of stay then full amount to be paid at time of booking.

Refund Policy

  • Full refund of booking amount in case there is not enough snow to make the Igloos. We will inform you in advance.
  • Full refund of Booking amount in case we could not move to Igloo Site from our Base Camp owing to blockade of road due to heavy snowfall.
  • No refund of Booking amount will be made if cancellation is received less than one month of stay date in the Igloo Camp.

NOTE: Processing fees of 3% would be charged for the refund.

TERM & CONDITIONS

All the Igloo and skiing activities is subject to timely and sufficient snowfall and favourable weather conditions. Operational area is located in the mountains (approx 10,000 feet MSL) in Hampta/Sethan Valley which is approx 18 kms from the main town of Manali and during snow time it is accessible only by 4 x 4 vehicles or by trekking which normally takes 3-4 hours from the Base Camp (Hotel Keylinga Inn at Prini – 4 kms from Mall Road, Manali). All winter activities such as Igloo, skiing, snowboarding, ski touring etc. will be operated only during winter, so in extreme cold and heavy snowfall and at that times road to Hamta/Sethan valley may be blocked for a couple of days due to heavy snowfall and sometimes it takes 2-3 days to clear it, in such situation and even otherwise due to unforeseen reasons beyond human control if we are forced to postpone/cancel our above activities for sometime or even for a short duration, we would always advise our clients to be a little flexible in their schedule so that they can enjoy their stay with us fully.
