Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival Nainital. Boat-ride on Naini Lake, Mall Road browsing
Arrive in Nainital, one of the most popular hill stations in North India, meet and greet assistance, transfer and check-in to hotel, welcome drink and relax. Later in the evening, visit the most-famous spot in Nainital, Lake Naini for a Boat Ride that offers panoramic views of the seven hills surrounding Nainital. Next, explore the vibrant Mall Road endless varieties of shops and food stalls especially famous for hand-made items. It was constructed by the British and connects Nainital from one side to the other. This road has featured in many Bollywood films like ‘Kati Patang’ and more recently ‘Koi Mil Gaya’.
Return to the hotel.

DAY 2
Naina Devi Temple, Bhimtal Lake, ropeway Cable Car ride to Snow-view point, Tibetan Market
After breakfast begin the day with a visit to Naina Devi Temple, believed to be one of the 64 Shaktipeeth’s of India that protects and governs the Naini Lake. Nainital is said to have derived its name from Goddess Naini.
Next, drive past the beautiful Bhimtal Lake, the largest lake in the Kumaon region named after the legendary ‘Bhima’ of Mahabharta. Its mythological significance is when Bhima visited the place during the banishment (vanvas) period of the Pandavas.
In the evening, take a ride on the aerial Nainital Ropeway Cable Car to Snow view-point to get a bird’s eye view of Nainital Hill Station and unobstructed wide views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks.
Next, visit the local Tibetan market known for local products and homemade eatables like aromatic jams, fruit squashes and fresh seasonal fruits.
Return to the hotel.

DAY 3
Departure Nainital, visit Kainchi Dham Ashram. Arrive Almora, Nanda Devi temple
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Kainchi Dham Ashram of Neem Karoli Baba, the famous spot that has attracted tech tycoons Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple Computers and Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook along with Larry Page and Jeffrey Skoll, co-founder of eBay. The Ashram is a cluster of three main temples, offices and simple living quarters along side the rushing falls of a small tributary of the Kosi river.
Drive to Almora, famous for its alluring beauty, panoramic views of the Himalayas, rich cultural heritage, unique handicrafts and delicious cuisines. On arrival, visit Nanda Devi Temple “Destroyer of Evil”, believed to be 1000 years old.
Check-in to the hotel and relax.

DAY 4
Departure Almora, enroute Jageshwar Temple, Katarmal Surya Temple. Arrival Binsar
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed for an excursion of Jageshwar Temple that dates back 2500 years and surrounded by Deodar Trees. The temple comprises more than 124 big and small temples. Most of the temples have a stone lingam, surrounded by stone sculptures of various deities.
Next, visit Katarmal Surya Temple, built in the 9th to 13th century and is considered the second most important Sun Temple in India after Konark Sun Temple (Orissa).
Visit Kasar Devi Temple that has been visited by many famous personalities like, Swami Vivekanand who visited and meditated here in 1890, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Cat Stevens and Allen Ginsburg are a few to mention.
Arrival Binsar, one of the most scenic spots in the Kumaon Himalayas with majestic views of the snowy Himalayan peaks and a trekker’s paradise.

DAY 5
Bineshwar Mahadev Temple, Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, Zero Point. Arrival Kausani
After breakfast, proceed to Bineshwar Mahadev Temple, a 16th century AD temple of Lord Shiva after which Binsar gets its name.
Next, proceed for trekking, jungle walks and safaris at the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, home to many species of Himalayan birds, flora and fauna. It will be good to spend a few hours amidst the natural chirping of birds in their natural habitat and exploring nature at its best. Also visit Zero Point, the highest vantage point of the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, from where one can see a 360-degree view of the Himalayan peaks of Kedarnath, Shivling, Trishul and the group of Nanda Devi peaks.
Return to the hotel. Later check-out and proceed to Kausani, a scenic and splendid city with a spectacular panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks.

DAY 6
Departure Kausani. Visit Baijnath Temple, Anasakti Ashram, Rudradhari Waterfall, Kausani Tea Estate. Arrival Ranikhet
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and visit the ancient Baijnath Temple, significant historically and religiously as Lord Shiva and Parvati were married at the confluence of River Gomati and Garur Ganga.
Next, visit Anashakti or Gandhi Ashram, the simple cottage engraved with the teachings of the Mahatma. Also, visit the Rudradhari Waterfalls, a natural paradise amidst lush green paddy fields and ancient caves close by.
Then, visit Kausani Tea Estate, a dream destination for tea lovers. The Tea Estate also offers spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks of Trishul, Nanda Devi and Pachchuli.
Proceed to Ranikhet, which means Queen’s meadow that gets its name from the local legend which states that Raja Sudhardev won the heart of his Queen, Rani Padmini here.

DAY 7
Ashiyana Park, Jhula Devi Temple, Ranikhet Golf Course
After breakfast, visit Jhula Devi Temple, the ancient 8th century monument dedicated to Goddess Durga.
Next, visit Ashiyana Park, also known as ‘Devdar Udhyan’, it is the first ever theme park, a children’s wonderland that exhibits well-manicured lawns, herbal gardens and colourful fountains.
Then, visit Ranikhet Golf Course, the awe-inspiring and highest 9-hole Golf Course of Asia and a prime attraction of Ranikhet.
Return to hotel.
Overnight in Ranikhet.
DAY 8
Departure Ranikhet
After breakfast check-out from hotel for onward journey or return home with pleasant memories of your trip.
