Get ready for a fairytale experience of the ever-changing color palette of the sky, the panoramic view of the Pir-Panjal ranges, the rustic feel of the village, the sight of cows eating fodder, the fields being plucked and ploughed, the chatter of village folk, the aroma of authentic Himachali food cooked on mud-stoves and the warmth of the local host community with ever-smiling faces all adds up to the mysticism of this pristine village.
The Mystic Village property, our venue for today’s lunch, is an ancestral home restructured to suit modernity without disturbing the aesthetics of the Himachali culture and village. The entire structure has been designed in a simple way using local resources such as wooden artifacts, frames, décor made from slate, jute curtains, mud pots and mud paintings on the wall. Besides the visual appeal, even the option of spending a night at Mystic Village brings forth the value that not only preserves the culture and becomes a source of revenue for the ‘host’ community.
Enjoy simple home-cooked lunch with the authentic ‘Thukpa’ dish and take back an experience that leaves you wanting for more.
Return trek to Khajjiar and drive to Dalhousie taking back beautiful memories of snow-clad mountains, pine forests and scenic landscapes.
